Purpose and Context
- Home Care North Asia business is very important to Unilever Home Care business group, not only because of its scale but also growth potential. Home Care North Asia business kept consistent and profitable growth in the past years through portfolio transportation.
- Clean Future is Home Care’s strategy, which commits to provide superior, affordable, and sustainable products, good for consumers and good for the planet.
- It is crucial and urgent to unlock Clean Future opportunities (new ingredients, new technologies) in China through regulation development. Promote sustainable regulations through advocation, new standard development etc.
- Our commitment is to ensure the right resource and capability to meet Home Care North Asia business size and ambition.
- The role directly partners with the local BULT including R&D BU Head and other functional leaders (WL3).
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead regulation game change for Home Care NA BU. Proactively advocate sustainable regulation and NAT in China laundry industry.
- Close connection to China ecosystems, including standard committee, authorities, industry association and other key parties in the industry to monitor regulation change and seed the sustainable development mindset to the industry key opinion leaders.
- Close cooperate with R&D other functional to show solid technical evidence for sustainable regulations.
- Lead team to provide regulatory support for Home Care innovation projects and ensure the OTIF products launch.
- Proactively build the regulatory capability to fit for Home Care China business ambition.
- Monitor, evaluate and update product related regulations risks and lead team to work out the mitigation plan.
- Provide regulatory solutions to questions/problems raised by QA, TPL, Process and other functions.
- Work with other functions, e.g., R&D, Legal, QA, ER…to support issue and crisis management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 8 years’ experience.
- Sound knowledge of laws/regulations/standards relevant to Home Care products in China.
- Clear evidence of leading and driving the business growth through regulatory affairs/standards
- Good communication & influence skills.
- Good at written & oral in English.
- Strong leadership, proactive drive program ahead, strong resilience and willing to take challenges.
- The experience in Home Care category is desired.
- Candidates with connection to external authorities, standard committees and regulatory experts is preferred.
